the people Behind the elephants

I have a keen interest in not only photography but also animals of all kinds, so it was captivating to be taking photos of elephants in their natural environment. These beautiful creatures shine so much more when roaming in the forest than they ever could on a stage for human entertainment.

However, I was surprised to find myself thinking that even more exciting than seeing the elephants was meeting and talking with the local people. I’ve always believed that cultural exchange is one of the most beautiful things that can happen between people, and I loved learning about the rich history and culture of the Karen people.

Through this amazing adventure, I’ve added a story to my book that I can keep telling for years to come. I learned so much, and I’m so thankful for the experience. I hope to return someday and keep in touch with my new friends.
