What I’ll Remember Most

Everyone says that people are the best part of traveling, and my experience at Kindred Sanctuary truly proves that.

Waking up to the sound of roosters, opening the window to a beautiful river, hiking through rice fields, breathing fresh air, and having the privilege of seeing elephants in their natural environment already feels special. But what I will remember most is the people.

The children’s laughter throughout the village, the warm smiles of the Karen people, and the time spent with my wonderful team are what made this place unforgettable.

Kindred Sanctuary wasn’t just beautiful; it was a place of genuine human connection and meaningful work for the elephants, and that is what I will carry with me.
