I Came for the Elephants, But Stayed for the Community

The time I had at KSES was truly amazing. I remember waking up with cats next to me while I sleep. The animals here are so kind and friendly. I also made the most amazing connections with my team and the community, learning a new language and new culture. I wish I could have stayed longer, I originally came for the elephants but I wanted to stay because of the community and village. That said, the environment work was truly inspirational and incredibly educational. As an added bonus the elephants were incredibly enamoring and beautiful. I gained so much knowledge not only on elephants but on all the wildlife here. I truly hope to come back one day, I was so sad to leave!
