Finding Meaning in Every Frame

In a world where everyone has a camera in their pocket, taking photography seriously gets very hard. It's not even about having more competition and lower chances to stand out, but about ensuring that in a flood of millions of pictures we can find only one that has real meaning. That challenge is exactly what I'm personally looking for. 

In this pursuit, finding Kindred was a glad surprise. Taking photos that are truly valuable requires work, thought, and intentionality; frequently, getting the perfect frame demands logistics, time, and patience. This is no different from observing elephants ethically in their own habitat.

The experience in Kindred requires a lot of effort and commitment, but it is as it should be, it is as any valuable thing in life is. Our comfort shouldn't come at the expense of other beings.

Additionally, being immersed in the local community enriches the experience and enhances the value of the shots/memories. The photo that I liked the most came exactly through that opportunity.

Ultimately, after this one-week photography internship, I feel that the pictures I took have true meaning for me due to the effort of a bunch of people to do the right thing the hard way. For that, I'm truly grateful.

For the following interns, I wish you a lot of resilience in the hikes and, in the same proportion, a lot of meaning in each frame you take.
